Personal Profile
I was born and ranch-raised in Southern Alberta with my family heavily involved in the rodeo industry. My life changed forever when I attended Sheridan College and fell in love with the culture and lifestyle that this area brings to its residents and visitors. After completing my associate degree in Sheridan, I went on to earn my bachelor's degree at the University of Wyoming and then a master's degree at Montana State University-Billings.
My loving wife Lisa and I met at Sheridan College, and we have been married for 34 years. Together we have raised two children, Shelby and Logan, who are now writing their own personal success stories. After rodeoing professionally for a few years, I began my 30-year career at Sheridan College as the Rodeo Coach. I went on to become the Director of Admissions, Director of Enrollment Services, and Director of Admissions Services for 22 years. In 2014, I was asked to take the reins as Director of College Services, overseeing food services, bookstores, and conferencing for Sheridan and Gillette Colleges; as well as managing the new indoor equine facility. In 2020 I retired from one of the top ranked community colleges in the region and started my career in real estate.
I live and breathe Sheridan and have been heavily involved in the community. I have served on the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board for 30 years - 14 years as vice president and five years as president. As a life-long hockey player, I've been involved with Sheridan Hockey for 20 years as a coach and referee, later becoming president and coach-in-chief of the youth association for 15 years, and State Coach-in-Chief for three years as well as a USA Hockey coaching instructor for 10 years. For the last six years, I've also served on the Sheridan County Travel & Tourism Board.
I have spent my life serving others and I am passionate about helping people. I understand that our clients are making one of the most significant investments in their lives in real estate. They need someone who is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated, but most of all -- care for those they serve. As a member of the Steger St. Clair team at Century 21 BHJ Realty, Inc. for the last two years, it has been an honor to help families and investors reach their real estate goals, and I am excited to assist more clients in the future.

Buyer reviewI have known Zane for years and found him to be a straight shooter. I am a no-nonsense kind of person. Money is very serious to us and we needed winter grass for our cows. Zane was diligent in representing us in State leases and the BLM leases. He was thorough. This is stressful when you are trying to find the right property. Paying the correct amount of money for the property is very important. Zane listened and he understood what we needed and what we could afford. I am a very precise and no-nonsense person when it comes to this kind of money. Zane understood this and our negotiations were serious right from the beginning.
